Ways to Make Your Gift

Thank you for supporting our mission of forming and equipping both people for ministries familiar and yet to unfold and communities present and yet to be gathered

Crowdfunding

Called is Pittsburgh Theological Seminary's dedicated crowdfunding site for specific projects and initiatives. Called allows PTS supporters to share their favorite projects across the globe through social media and e-mail so that others have the opportunity to help fund worthwhile projects.

Called is different from other crowdfunding sites because each project keeps all the money raised, even if the fund-raising goal isn’t met. Since gifts given through Called are processed by Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, you can be assured that 100 percent  of your gift will go directly to the project of your choice. And unlike some other crowdfunding sites, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary is a registered non-profit, so your Called gift is tax deductible as allowed by law.

Gifts of Stocks

Next to cash, appreciated stocks and bonds are the assets most frequently donated to Pittsburgh Seminary. Making a gift of securities is both simple and tax advantageous. With a gift of appreciated securities, you are entitled to a federal income tax charitable deduction if you itemize your return. For appreciated securities held longer than one year, you may deduct the full fair market value of your gift. A second tax benefit with a gift of appreciated securities is that you avoid paying any capital gains tax on your investment.

Your gift of appreciated securities may be donated by mail or in person. Please provide this transfer instruction form to your bank/broker. Please call Amanda Kile at 412-924-1422 for more information or e-mail akile@pts.edu.

IRA Rollover

Recent tax legislation allows you to give through your Individual Retirement Account. Please contact Amanda Kile at 412-924-1422 or akile@pts.edu for more information about rolling over a gift from your IRA.
