Honor Scholarships

What is it?

A scholarship offered by PTS to incoming students. It is based on past academic achievement and demonstrated potential for outstanding Christian service. Applicants will have graduated from an accredited college or university having earned a minimum 3.5 GPA in a bachelor’s degree program.

Range of award?

$1200 - $20,000/year. For specifics, see the Catalog.

Who qualifies?

Upon submission of a complete admissions application, the Admissions and Standing Committee determines the award recipients.

What is the deadline?

Beginning on February 1, offers are extended until funds are expended.

Is it renewable?

Almost all scholarships are renewable; three years for a student enrolled in the M.Div. program and two years for the M.A. program.

Students must complete 36 credits per academic year and maintain a 3.5 career GPA. Academic progress is verified at year end.

Awarded to students who are enrolled full time in Pittsburgh Theological Seminary classes. Funds will not be awarded for full-time enrollment at another university for the joint degree program.
