Perspectives on the World Christian Movement

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will offer “Perspectives on the World Christian Movement” Aug. 12-18, 2012. The Rev. Dr. Ken Bailey ’55, PTS professor Dr. Edith Humphrey, and 10 other guest missionaries and professors will lead the discussion. This course is offered through the Seminary’s World Mission Initiative.

Perspectives is a program from the U.S. Center for World Mission and is taught worldwide. It is open to all students and to members of the Pittsburgh community. Participants will learn the biblical foundations, historical evidence, and current cultural and strategic work of the expansion of the church worldwide, as they are challenged to discover their role in God’s plan.

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary is a graduate professional institution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). Founded in 1794, the Seminary is located in Pittsburgh, Pa. and approximately 310 students are enrolled yearly in the degree programs. The Seminary prepares leaders who proclaim with great joy God’s message of good news in both word and deed. PTS is rooted in the Reformed history of faithfulness to Scripture and commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
