Polity, Program and Mission of the PC(USA)

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary’s Office of Continuing Education will present “Polity, Program and Mission of the PC(USA)” Oct. 24-28, 2011. Joyce MacKichan Walker, minister of education at Nassau Presbyterian Church, Princeton, N.J. will lead the week-long discussion.

The goal of this course is to familiarize participants with nFoG – the new Form of Government, the Directory for Worship, and The Rules of Discipline so you can use them effectively. Additionally, participants will be guided to research one area, and through their colleagues explore a representative sample as class members present their work, and a connection they make with one mission worker through the PC(USA) website.

Registration fee is $245 (or $145 for Presbyterian Polity only and $145 for Program and Mission only). Continuing education units are available. These courses fulfill a requirement for those enrolled in the PCUSA Christian education certificate program.
