Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will host the 17th annual The Rev. Dr. Roy F. Miller, Ph.D., and Mrs. Florence Lantz Miller Summer Youth Institute July 6-20, 2013. Since 1997, the Miller Summer Youth Institute has drawn rising high school seniors from Washington, DC to San Francisco, Calif., Canby, Minn., to Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico and everywhere in between. These scholars come from small parishes and big steeples, big cities and small towns, US territories and Indian Nations, representing all walks of life and theological perspectives within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). They come to Pittsburgh Seminary to ask deep questions about life and faith, to think critically about these issues, and to explore ministry from the pulpit and the pews.
Tuition, room, board, and field trips for SYI participants are free thanks in part to the Lilly Endowment Inc. and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary donors. For more information about the Miller Summer Youth Institute, contact the Rev. Erin Davenport at 412-924-1405, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.pts.edu/SYI.
