Three DMin Cohorts Meet this Month
Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Doctor of Ministry cohort groups will meet throughout the month of January including Parish, Reformed Christian Spirituality, and Science & Theology.
The Parish Focus group will meet with Dr. Andrew Purves, professor of Reformed theology at PTS, to discuss educational ministry of the Church and with Dr. James Gilchrist, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Pa. to learn more about congregational and community issues within the discipline of Christian ethics.
This month a new Reformed Christian Spirituality Focus cohort will meet for the first time during which Director of the D.Min. Program Dr. Susan Kendall will introduce the academic standards and Dr. Purves will address the theology of Church and ministry and pastoral spirituality.
The Science & Theology cohort will learn about theology, technology, and society with the Rev. Dr. Deirdre Hainsworth, assistant professor of ethics at PTS and theology and the technologies of human transformation with the Rev. Dr. Ronald Cole-Turner, H. Parker Sharp Professor of Theology and Ethics at PTS.
