Transfer Students

A student transferring from another accredited seminary is required to submit the application materials described within the various program informational pages. In addition, the student should submit a letter of dismissal from the president or dean of the seminary previously attended.

Transfer credits will be evaluated by the academic dean. Only courses for which the grades of A or B were earned will be considered for transfer credit. No coursework which has been previously counted toward an earned degree will be considered for transfer credit. A student must complete a minimum of one full academic year in residence at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in order to become a candidate for the Master of Divinity or Master of Arts degree.

All correspondence concerning admission to the Seminary should be addressed to the Director of Admissions.
