Pittsburgh Theological Seminary

Workshop Offers Chance to Refresh Your Greek

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary invites area clergy to refresh their Greek by reading together selections from the New Testament and reviewing essential points of grammar. There will be an opportunity to examine modern translations with an eye to the question of why scholars have made the choices they have in rendering the New Testament into English. Participants can expect that their sermons, teaching, and general theological understanding will all gain from their experience in this study group.

The Rev. Dr. James A. Durlesser, a lecturer in biblical languages at PTS and a retired United Methodist pastor, will lead the course. Classes will be held Wednesdays Oct. 2 – Nov. 6 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. CEUs are available.

Registration fee is $95. Contact the Office of Continuing Education at 412-924-1345 or ConEd@pts.edu with questions. Additional information is available online.
