November Events and Displays
On November 5, 2021 the library and the Center for Writing and Learning Support will host "BookTalks: A Creative Conversation with Edith Humphrey, Biblical Scholar and Children's Book Author." We will spend an hour together discussing Dr. Humphrey’s creative process, the connections between her children’s novel and the Narnia series of C.S. Lewis, and her plans for her January course on Lewis in the Doctor of Ministry program in Creative Writing and Public Theology.
Check out our companion display for this event on the ground floor. Recommended reads include Dr. Humphrey's scholarly works, the philosophy of C.S. Lewis, and theological journeys through literature. We also have a guide available with additional resources such as journal articles and websites.
Our "Grief: Loss and Resilience in a Pandemic World" display on the first floor offers several helpful titles in support of this Continuing Ed series (throughout the fall).
All display items are available for checkout!
