WMI offers a number of ways for PTS students to get involved in mission around the world. Check out these opportunities and plan to join us!
Participate in a WMI short-term mission trip
WMI offers short-term mission opportunities every year during the January term. These two-week intercultural experiences provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to learn more about how the Holy Spirit is at work in locations in Africa, South America, the Middle East, and more. Learn about this year’s opportunities.
Enroll in courses to learn more about missions
PTS offers several courses focusing on the theology of missions, practical missions, church planting, and more. Courses include the following:
- Justice and Mission
- Evangelism in Context
- Christianity in a Global World

Apply for the Valentour World Travel Fellowship to dive deeper into God’s work in the world
The Valentour Fellowship enables a full-time PTS student who has completed at least two years of classes to travel for seven to 12 weeks during the spring or summer, visiting various cultures and societies in order to research a particular topic in the global church. The award is based on a proposal that outlines the purpose and plan for travel, which must include the non-Western World. The following academic year, the student is encouraged to complete an independent study, related to some aspect of the student’s travel experience, with a member of the PTS faculty. Learn more about the Fellowship and application process and read about previous award winners.
Engage in global mission internships
Are you interested in spending more time in a particular context? WMI can connect you to longer-term mission internships ranging from one month to two years. Contact Hunter Farrell for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org.
