Two Sentence Horror Story Contest

It was a dark and stormy night... when Barbour Library decided to host a Two Sentence Horror Story Contest for the PTS Community!

The contest begins Monday, September 22 and submissions must be submitted online by Saturday, October 18. Horror story submissions may be about any goofy scare, serious spook, or terrifying topic, but must be original and two sentences (400 characters or less) in length. 

Celebrity judges from the PTS community will select three winners based on a blind review, along with a "Librarian's Choice" winner from the staff of Barbour Library. 

There will be spooky prizes!

• Submissions will be received Sept. 22 - Oct. 18. Late submissions will not be accepted.
• All PTS students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. 
• Submissions must be submitted via the online form (coming soon). 
• You must include your name and contact information to compete.
• Stories must be original (not plagiarized or created using AI) and that follow the two-sentence rule.
• You may submit multiple entries, but can only win once.
