2026 Barbour Library Literary Pumpkin Patch

Register to reserve a free pumpkin to decorate as your favorite book character or seasonal theme!

• Registration is open to anyone with a library account.
• Register individually or with others - faculty/staff can participate as a department; PTS students can register as a group. Each department/group will receive one pumpkin to decorate together.
• Non-local students can still register - you will email the library a photo of your decorated pumpkin which will also be put on display.
• Free pumpkins are guaranteed to the first 25 registrants.
• Pumpkin must be a character from a book or reflect a theme from the fall or Halloween season.
• Pumpkin CANNOT be carved, cut or hollowed out. Carved pumpkins attract bugs and start to decompose.
• Draw, paint, or attach other materials to your pumpkin using library supplies or your own.
• Decorated pumpkins must be brought to the library/emailed by October 23 and must include the entry form provided.

Important Dates:

• Register to reserve a pumpkin: October 5-12
• Pick up and decorate your pumpkin: October 12-20
• Drop off pumpkins for display: by October 23
• Pumpkins on display: October 26-November 3
