Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will celebrate the Class of 2026 during its 230th commencement May 29 at 4:00 p.m. at East Liberty Presbyterian Church. During the service, the Rev. Dr. DeWayne L. Davis, formerly lead minister of Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis, will address the graduates.

Davis is a preacher, public theologian, and social justice leader with extensive experience in ministry, advocacy, and public policy. Formerly lead minister of Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis, he has also served as chaplain of the Minnesota State Senate and as domestic policy advisor for The Episcopal Church’s Office of Government Relations, where he represented the church’s social witness before Congress and the White House. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and brings a deep commitment to preaching, partnership, and justice-centered ministry.

Ample free parking is available at the Seminary (616 N. Highland Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206). Parking is extremely limited and metered at East Liberty Presbyterian Church. Therefore, we encourage you park on campus and ride the free shuttles to and from the service. See the schedule above for shuttle times.
Seating is available and tickets are NOT required for either the Service of Thanksgiving (Thursday evening) or the Commencement service (Friday afternoon). Bring your friends and family and join us!
The Seminary has designated handicap parking spots throughout campus. You'll find them in front of Long Hall, to the left of Hicks Chapel, behind Hicks Chapel, and a few at the Breezeway (connecting Long Hall and McNaugher Hall). Hicks Chapel and Long Hall are accessible by elevator. To access Kadel Dining Room, the best option is entering on the ground floor at the Breezeway.
Hicks Chapel is not air conditioned.
East Liberty Presbyterian Church's Highland Avenue entrance is accessible. The shuttles will drop off and pick up guests from there. Additionally, East Liberty's Social Hall (after service reception location) is accessible by elevator. ELPC is not air conditioned.
It is the policy of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary not to allow flash photography during worship services; therefore, flash photography is permitted only during the conferring of degrees during the Commencement service.
