Youth Ministry Certificate

This professional development certificate is for current youth pastors, volunteers, and youth directors to learn the Miller Summer Youth Institute method of youth ministry. During this four-hour course, participants will learn a mentoring model of ministry that can be practically applied to all ministry contexts. SYI specializes in giving youth the tools to ask big questions of their faith in a safe environment that encourages and promotes both spiritual and academic growth. Our assumption is that youth thrive in an environment that expects great things of them. The goal of SYI is that every youth engage the following questions: “Who is God calling me to be?” And “What is God calling me to do?” During this course we will discuss and learn from one another how to best help youth work through these questions.
