Is God calling you to start something new? Whether planting a new church, revitalizing an existing congregation, or launching any other new ministry, this hands-on event will help you cultivate the ability to listen to both God and the world as you discern God's call.

Over two days, participants will worship together, engage in missional practices, and reflect upon how God is at work within them and in the world. Coaches of new worshiping communities will be available for consultation with leaders of new ministries during workshop periods. We will also introduce to you the newest edition of "Starting New Worshiping Communities," a resource which can aid in your ministry team's discernment of where, how, and to whom God is sending you.

Speakers and workshop leaders include Christopher Brown, Edwin van Driel, BJ Woodworth, Shannon Kiser, and Michael Gehrling. In addition to the cost of the event, participants should budget for one dinner out while engaging in a neighborhood exegesis experiment near the seminary.

This event is open to all denominations, and participants are encouraged (but not required) to come as groups from their respective churches or ministries. Co-sponsored with the Church Planting Initiative at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

DATE and TIME

Fri., October 17, 2014, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Sat., October 18, 2014, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
