Join the Seminary's Metro-Urban Institute for “Where to Turn? Ministry at the Margins in Times of Government Cutbacks.” The event will be held Sat., April 12, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Kingsley Association (6435 Frankstown Ave., 15206). The symposium will include speaker presentations, Q&A, and breakout sessions. Light refreshments will be served. Panelists include: Valerie McDonald Roberts, chief urban affairs officer for Mayor Bill Peduto; R. Drew Smith, professor of urban ministry at PTS; Stephanie Boddie, senior researcher of the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion and Public Life; John Welch, community advocate and vice president for student services and dean of students at PTS.
