Robert (Robb) J. Starck, nine-year Board member and chair of the Reaching Forward Campaign, died at his home on March 20, 2015, at age 67. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, Robb graduated in 1966 from Linsly Military Institute (now The Linsly School) in Wheeling, W.Va. He earned his bachelor’s from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1970. In recent years he studied theology at Oxford University, England.

A successful businessman, Robb was the third-generation owner of Starck Van Lines Inc., an award-winning, family-owned and operated business founded on Christian principles in 1922. There Robb developed the company’s Faith Based Move Ministry, driven by the key elements of service to the faith community and the sharing of blessings by giving back.

Robb was an elder and Session member at Cove United Presbyterian Church, Weirton, W.Va., where he also served as moderator of the Presbytery. He was a board member of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Christian Leadership Concepts at Orchard Hill Church, and of Bekins Van Lines. He served as a trustee of the Starck Foundation and was an active alumnus at The Linsly School.

"Robb Stark was one of the most sincere and committed Christians any of us will ever meet," said the Rev. David Hosick, fellow PTS Board member. "He loved PTS, the institution and all of her people, and he served her faithfully. I was privileged that he considered me a friend and to have him as mine. I will greatly miss his smiling presence.

Robb is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jeanne Strauss Starck, their six children, 17 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
