Pittsburgh Theological Seminary is excited to announce the launch of its new podcast, Being Church in a Post-Christian World, hosted by the Rev. Dr. Edwin Chr. van Driel and the Rev. Kendra Buckwalter Smith ’12/’13. This thought-provoking series invites listeners to explore what it means for the church to live faithfully in an age when Christianity is no longer at the cultural center.
The podcast draws from global conversations and local experiences to reflect on secularization, community, and mission. Episodes include stories from the Dutch church—often considered to be a generation or two ahead of North America in navigating post-Christian realities—and conversations with leaders, scholars, and practitioners who share insights on faith, culture, and the search for meaning.
“We believe these stories can inspire churches in the United States as they face their own shifting landscape,” said van Driel. “By listening closely to how Christians in other contexts are living out their faith, we can learn fresh ways of embodying the gospel.”
The Being Church in a Post-Christian World podcast is available now on major podcast platforms.
