Join Pittsburgh Theological Seminary from the comfort of your home or office for the upcoming online Continuing Education class “Teaching and Preaching the Letters of Paul.” This eight-week course runs March 11- May 17, 2013. Jenee Woodard, biblical studies teacher for the Seminary’s Commissioned Ruling Elder Program, will lead the course.

Do you find yourself avoiding Paul’s letters because they are so difficult to preach? In this course, we will be looking at background, context, and theological themes in the letters of Paul (and the letters attributed to him), in order to think about how to preach from these passages. What are the contexts of these letters? What might Paul (and others) have been saying to the original audiences and why? How might we interpret the passages with and for a congregation? Find out the answers!

Registration fee is $195. Participants can earn CEUs. Contact the Office of Continuing Education at 412-924-1345 or ConEd@pts.edu. Check out the brochure and register online. Registration is still open.
