Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will offer the spiritual formation elective “Journeying through the Inner Life: Dream Work and Spiritual Formation” April 18-21, 2013. Fr. Bernard Tickerhoof will lead the discussion.

The spiritual journey calls us to reconfigure our lives both within and without. This course provides an opportunity for further exploration into the use of dreams and dream work in the development of the spiritual life. An emphasis will be placed on working with dreams, both individually and in sharing them with others. Time will also be provided for theoretical input, prayer experiences, and private reflection. The place of dreams in Scripture and in the Christian tradition will be examined, as will the use of dream work in spiritual direction. In the process of exploring our dreams we are challenged to broaden our understanding of faith and to hear the teachings of Jesus in a new way. Participants are encouraged to bring dream journals or recently recorded dreams with them for use during the week.

Registration fee is $395. Meals and housing are available for an additional fee. CEUs are available. Contact the Office of Continuing Education at 412-924-1345 or ConEd@pts.edu with questions. Register online.
