Join us as the Metro-Urban Institute welcomes Joy Pittman, a dynamic strategist and thought leader, who enriches lives through her two enterprises: When Faith Meets Strategy™ (WFMS ) and HR For The Culture™. Her mission is to position believers for greater impact, navigating the spheres of ministry and marketplace with grace and authority.
Joy is reshaping paradigms and empowering a new wave of faith-driven influencers through her innovative approach. This half-day action oriented workshop will empower local faith leaders, ministries, and organizations develop their vision and mission, while effectively mobilizing their strategies for more significant community impact.
Participants can look forward to:
- A deep understanding of the WFMS framework and its application in their contexts
- Actionable strategies and tools for effective ministry and community leadership
- A network for ongoing support and development

Thought-partner, entrepreneur, and leader, Joy Pittman is known in several arenas as a go-to strategist, team developer, trainer, and transformative speaker. In July 2020, Joy started HR For The Culture. During a pandemic, while other businesses closed their doors, Joy scaled HRFTC to more than half a million in annual revenue, while serving more than 150 Black-owned small businesses and leading a team of 12 employees and remote contractors. On the heels of this accomplishment, Joy was led to re-launch When Faith Meets Strategy™ in 2022 with a mandate to help urban ministries move from vision to actualization. Her desire is to help leaders "see what they saw" while lightening the weight of managing the business side of ministry. She provides Bible-based strategies that help entrepreneurs, pastors, and their teams build sustainable, financially stable businesses, ministries, and faith-based initiatives.
